PAT & OSCAR'S OFFERS FIRST-EVER ORGANIC SIDES IN KIDS’ MEAL

New, Healthier Choices Including Applesauce, Veggie Sticks and More
SAN DIEGO – Continually listening to and responding to guest feedback, Pat & Oscar’s Restaurants (www.patandoscars.com) has re-vamped its “Just For Kids” menu to feature the company’s first-ever organic choices. Just For Kids meals now give parents multiple options to create a well-rounded, nutritious meal for their child.
The three Just For Kids meals (Pasta, Pizza or Chicken) are accompanied by all-new side dishes, including organic applesauce, veggie sticks, trans-fat-free potato wedges and breadsticks. Kids’ beverage choices have also been expanded to now include organic milk (both chocolate and regular).
“We are thrilled to give our guests new options and healthier alternatives,” said John Wright, Pat & Oscar’s chairman and CEO. “We launched a completely trans-fat-free menu over a year ago, and these new menu items represent our ongoing commitment to offering fresh, hearty and health-conscious choices for everyone in the family,” he added.
Just For Kids meals are priced at $3.99 and are available at all 19 Southern California Pat & Oscar’s locations. Each meal is specially prepared for kids 12 and under and includes a kids’ beverage and side choice of organic applesauce, veggie sticks or two trans-fat-free breadsticks or potatoes.
“Pat & Oscar’s is pleased to be on the cutting edge of the organic trend in fast casual dining,” said Wright. “Over the next year, we will add other organic and nourishing items to our overall menu, continuing our commitment to a fresh and healthy dining experience.”
Pat & Oscar’s plans to open four to six restaurants in the next 12 months in Southern California, and is currently investigating new prototype and footprint choices and franchising possibilities to further spur growth.
